Snow named NCCAA 2nd team all-american; several other Cardinals recognized by NCCAA

(Greenville, SC) – The National Christian College Association (NCCAA) announced their post-season awards and several Cardinals were recognized. After advancing to the final four of the NCCAA women's basketball DI national championship, the Cardinals finished their season 16-10. Katie Snow highlighted the Cardinals accolades with second team all-american honors.

 

Katie Snow, J'may Simmons, and Tris'styn Williams were named to the NCCAA Midwest all-region team with Snow advancing an being placed on the all-american second team. Snow paced the Cardinals in nearly all statistical categories with 14.5 points per game, 6 rebounds, 2 assists and 3 steals.

 

J'may Simmons was named to the NCCAA D1 National Championship all tournament team. Simmons averaged 13 points over three games while scoring a high of 18 in the first game against Grace. Simmons also totaled 26 rebounds in the tournament.

 

The NCCAA also announced their scholar-athletes while at the championship. Six Cardinals met the NCCAA requirements of being junior academic status while maintaining a cumulative GPA of a 3.4. Stephanie Abraham, Averi Bebble, Paige Johnson, Aly Lenz, J'may Simmons and  Tris'styn Williams were named scholar athletes.
