Women's Bowling competes at the American Heartland Tournament and places third

(Canton, MI) - The Cardinals Women's Bowling team continued their season on Sunday as they would wind up finishing in third place at the American Heartland Tournament. The Cardinals would hit a total of 6,715 pins following the four team games and the baker games. 

 

CARDINALS RESULTS

Emilee Hughes took home a fourth-place finish by knocking down a total of 810 pins after having a high game of 215. 13 pins behind Hughes was Gabriella VanHorn as she tallied a high score of 238 while scoring a 797 total. Kyla Peterson was next with an 11th-place finish after bowling a 777 with a 204 high game. Amanda Fisher was the fourth finisher for the Cardinals as she scored a 762 and a 213 high game. 

 

Bowling in three games was Megan Redmond as she would average 166 with a high game of 202. Brooke Binder was the final bowler for the Cardinals as she went one game with a score of 207.

The team would finish in first place in the JV section of the tournament.

22nd: Sydney Stocks - 374 - 194

23rd: Carly Pavka - 287 - 160

 

RECORD BOOKS

The team series average of 962.8 is the third-highest score in team program history. 

 

TEAM AND INDIVIDUAL WINNER

Karine Bouchard from Davenport University took home the individual title as she posted a score of 857. 

 

The team champion was also Davenport University as they took home the team title with a score of 6,840 total pins. 

 

UP NEXT

The Cardinals will be competing at the first two Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Jamboree next weekend when they compete on Friday, November 3 in Comstock Park, Michigan.
