Women's Bowling finishes the Hoosier Classic in 20th-Place

(Indianapolis, IN) - The Concordia Cardinals Women's Bowling team rounded out their regular season at the Hoosier Classic at the Western Bowl in Indiana on Sunday with the Cardinals finishing out play in 20th place after knocking down 8,343 total pins. 

 

CARDINALS RESULTS

Gabriella VanHorn was the top finisher for the Cardinals as she finished in 28th place after knocking down 1,250 total pins for the tournament and hitting a high game of 234. Next for the Cards was Emilee Hughes who totaled 1,135 pins over her 6 games and scored a high game of 236. Two more Concordia bowlers went the full 6 games as Ryan Giese and Amanda Fisher totaled 1,133 and 1,100 pins respectively. Giese and Fisher totaled high games of 210 and 225 respectively. 

 

The final two bowlers were Megan Redmond and Emily Morris. Redmond bowled in 4 games as she averaged 195.5 and recorded a high game of 236 while Morris averaged a 159.5 over 2 games and scored a 166 high game. 

 

TEAM AND INDIVIDUAL WINNER

The University of Pikeville took the top spot at the tournament with 9,378 total pins. 

 

Kinsey Miller from Baker University took home the top spot after hitting 1,388 total pins with a 279-high game. 

 

UP NEXT

The Cardinals will next head to the Royal Scot Golf and Bowl in Lansing, Michigan to compete for the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Championship meet next Saturday, February 17 as they will play for a chance for an automatic bid to the National Championships.
