Women's Bowling takes third at WHAC Jamboree #3

(Jackson, MI) - The Concordia Cardinals Women's Bowling team hosted the third WHAC Jamboree of the season at the JAX 60 on Saturday. The tournament consisted of 4 team games followed by 16 baker games. The team finished in 3rd place overall with a total of 7,017 pins. The finish moved the Cardinals up a spot in the WHAC season standings, putting them at fourth through three of the four Jamborees.

  

CARDINALS RESULTS

Taking home the top spot for the Cardinals was Brooke Binder who placed 4th overall at the tournament after knocking down a total of 890 pins for the tournament and scoring a high game of 269. In 18th place was Emilee Hughes who scored a total of 789 pins and recorded a high game of 255. The next highest finisher for Concordia was Gabriella VanHorn who knocked down 759 pins, with a high game of 222. Amanda Fisher came in next with 745 pins overall and a top game of 225. Rounding out Concordia's scores was Kyla Peterson with a 722 overall and high game of 230.  

 

CARDINALS JV RESULTS

The JV team finished the JV portion of the tournament in first place after hitting a total of 6,510 pins.

26th - Carly Pavka - 765 - 248

31st – Sydney Stocks – 755 – 203

50th – Mackenzie Morgan – 698 - 207

80th - Emily Morris - 519 (3 games) - 198

107th - Ashley Kreger – 171 (1 game) - 171

 

TEAM AND INDIVIDUAL WINNER

Indiana Tech took home the team event with almost 400 more pins that Lourdes in second place with 7,424 overall. Indiana Tech still sits atop the conference standings with 62 points through the Jamborees, followed by Lourdes with 57, Madonna with 46, and Concordia with 36, who passed Lawrence Tech after the Jamboree.

 

Kayla Tafanelli from Spring Arbor took home the individual win for the Cougars with a total of 239.5 pins through the four game series.

 

UP NEXT

The Cardinals will next be at the Glenn Carlson Invitational on Monday, December 18th. The event will be at the South Pointe Hotel & Bowling Center in Las Vegas.
