(Jackson, MI) - The Cardinals Women's Bowling team started out the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) season strong with a first-place finish at the first of four WHAC Jamborees of the season. The event featured three team games followed by 16 baker games.
The Cardinals, who won the final WHAC Jamboree of last season, scored the second most pins of the day, only behind the Lawrence Tech Men's team, with a total of 5,932 pins. The Cardinals earned 25 points toward the regular season championship.
INDIVIDUAL RESULTS
Arielle Oakley had a high game of 221 which aided her total score of 616 to lead the tournament. Brooke Binder was another Cardinal in the top 10 with a score of 555. Emily Morris and Amanda Fisher were next up for the CUAA as they were the final two to bowl all three games with Morris scoring a 506 and Fisher tallying a 491.
Ryan Giese bowled two games with a 198 and a 157 for a 355. Bailey VanMeter was the final bowler for the team games, scoring 158 in her sole game.
