Women's Bowling competes at the Kegel Collegiate Classic

(Addison, IL) – The Cardinals women's bowling traveled to Illinois for the Kegel Collegiate Classic, a Tier 1 event. The event featured five team games on Saturday followed by 16 baker games on Sunday. 

 

The Cardinals were in eighth place following the first day of the tournament and would fall to 12th after the baker games.  

 

CUAA RESULTS

Amanda Fisher placed 25th in the tournament and tallied a score of 979 and a high game of 224. Brooke Binder was the only other Cardinal to bowl in all five team games as she had a score of 921 and a 201 high game. 

 

MacKenzie Morgan bowled in four games with a score of 728 and a 233 high game. Emilee Hughes, Bailey VanMeter, and Arielle Oakley bowled in three games each tallying scores of 619, 509, and 482 respectively. Hughes had a 254 high game while VanMeter had a 198 and Oakley had a 173 respectively. 

 

Ryan Giese was the final bowler for the Cards as she bowled in two games with a 395 score and a 216 high game.

 

INTO THE RECORD BOOKS

The team series average of 926.6 is the seventh-highest mark in program history. 

 

TOURNAMENT RESULTS

Mount Mercy won the team title after they posted a score of 8003. 

 

Emily Newbauer from Viterbo University was the individual champion with a score of 1114. 

 

UP NEXT

The Cardinals will travel to Thunderbowl Lanes in Allen Park, Michigan, on Saturday, January 25th, for the fourth and final WHAC Jamboree of the season.
