(Las Vegas, NV) - Over the past two days, The Concordia Cardinals Women's Bowling team competed in their final tournament of 2024 at the Collegiate Shoot-Out in Las Vegas, Nevada. The event featured the team competing in five games and 16 baker games. The top eight teams would advance to a King of the Hill-style match.
The Cardinals finished the team and baker games in fifth place after knocking down 7,721 pins. CUAA would end up falling the the semifinal match after posting a score of 682.
CUAA RESULTS
Bailey VanMeter took the top CUAA spot in the second tournament of the week, placing 14th out of the 282 bowlers who competed. She recorded a score of 1,004 in her five games bowled with a 223 high-game. Brooke Binder and Emilee Hughes finished within eight pins of each other with Binder tallying 979 pins and Hughes 971. Their high games were 224 and 267 respectively. Amanda Fisher was the final Cardinal to bowl all five games as she had a high game of 202 and a total score of 840.
McKenzie Morgan recorded a score of 547 over her three games bowled with a 211 high game. The final bowler was Arielle Oakley with a 417 over two games and a 217 high game.
TOURNAMENT RESULTS
Mount Mercy qualified first with a score of 7,953 pins and would wind up getting second overall after falling in the championship match.
St. Xavier (IL) took the top spot as they finished second in the qualifying and took the final match by outsourcing Mount Mercy by 10 pins.
Brooke Salzman from Mount Mercy claimed the individual championship as she posted a score of 1,129.

The Cardinals will next hit the lanes on January 11 when they compete at the fifth American Heartland Tournament at the Spins Bowl in Waterford Township, Michigan.
