(Canton, MI) - The Concordia Cardinals Women's Bowling team traveled down the road for a pair of matches at the first and second American Heartland Tournaments of the year at the SuperBowl in Canton, Michigan. The Cardinals finished third in the first tournament and runner-up in the second tournament.
CUAA TOURNAMENT 1 RESULTS
The Cardinals finished third place at the first tournament scoring 5,385 total pins.
Brooke Binder took home the top CUAA score after totaling 1096 pins and recording a high game of 222 while placing 10th. Ryan Giese was next up for the Cards with 1019 pins and a high game of 193.
Amanda Fisher was the third bowler and would bowl four games averaging 189.7 pins per game with a high game of 215. Next up was Arielle Oakley with a high game of 219 and averaging 185 pins per game. Bailey VanMeter bowled a trio of games totaling 586 pins. Emily Hughes, Emily Morris, and Mackenzie Morgan were the final three bowlers, totaling 530, 337, and 318 pins respectively.
TOURNAMENT 1 WINNERS
Cleary was the top team for the day with a total of 5,514 pins.
Kasey Eaton from Davenport took home the top individual spot with a high game of 234 and a total score of 1240.
CUAA TOURNAMENT 2 RESULTS
The Sunday tournament saw the Cardinals take home a second-place finish after totaling 5,371 pins. Teams bowled four team games and 10 baker games.
Bailey VanMeter took home the top spot for the team after recording 744 pins. Amanda Fisher was next up with a score of 702 pins. Mackenzie Morgan was the final bowler to bowl all four games as she would end up totaling 685 pins.
Ryan Giese bowled in four games for the Cardinals scoring 629 pins and averaging 209.67 pins per game. Two bowlers bowled a pair of games as Brooke Binder and Arielle Oakley totaled 374 and 313 pins respectively. The final bowler of the day was Sydney Stocks with 180 pins.
TOURNAMENT 2 WINNERS
Davenport took home the team title after scoring 5,696 pins. Kadence Bottrall from Davenport took the individual title with a score of 860.
