(Sterling Heights, MI) - The Concordia Cardinal Women's Bowling team competed on Thursday for the first day of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Championship where they saw solid success. 

The Cardinals saw themselves in sixth-place following six baker sets that saw the Cardinals score 4762 pins with an average of 793 pins per set and 198 pins per game.

BRACKET PLAY

The Cardinals would take on the 11th-seeded Culver-Stockton in the first round of bracket play as they would be able to advance past Culver-Stockton in the best-of-7 series with a tight 4-3 victory.  The Cardinals won the second, third and fifth games before tying the sixth and seventh. The Scores of the Cardinal wins were 188-183, 184-183, and 174-159.
