(Jackson, MI) - The Concordia Cardinals Women's Bowling team competed in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Championship on Saturday morning. The event featured the teams bowling 15 baker games during the qualifying round. From that point the top six teams would advance to bracket play.
The Cardinals in the qualifying round bowled baker sets of 827-872-799 throughout the 15 games for a total score of 2498.
The six teams to advance to bracket play were Indiana Tech (2847 pins), Lawrence Tech (2761), Madonna (2724), St. Francis (IL) (2695), Rochester Christian (2638), and Cleary (2557).
The championship match was between Lawrence Tech and Indiana Tech. Indiana Tech took the first two games of the best-of-7 series before falling in the next three. The final game had the Warriors run away with the game 201-159.
The next time the Cardinals hit the lanes will be in Smyrna, Tennessee for the Intercollegiate Singles Championship Sectional on March 7-9.
