(Sterling Heights, MI) - The Concordia Cardinal Women's Bowling team continued their play at the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Championship on Friday and saw themselves go 2-1 on the day in match play. 

The Cardinals baker games on the day totaled 3,272 total pins throughout the 17 games for an average of 192.47 pins per game.

ROUND 2

The Cardinals first match of the day was against the Cougars from Saint Xavier. The Cardinals took the first three matches before Saint X took the following two and then CUAA earned the match win in game 6 with a 225-180 victory.

The Cardinals took on Pikeville in their second match of the day which saw them earn a 4-1 win. CUAA won the first three games of the match before dropping a close game 4, but were able to respond right back in the fifth win a 210-167 win.

ROUND 5

The final match of the day saw the Cardinals in the final position of the Championship Bracket against Spring Arbor. The Cardinals took the first game of the series by a narrow two pins, before the two teams traded the next two games. Spring Arbor would then go on a run as they would earn wins in games four, five, and six to advance to the National Championship match tomorrow at 11 AM.
