Men's Lacrosse sweeps first WHAC Weekly Honors

(Ann Arbor, MI) - The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) announced their first player of the week honors on Monday afternoon and Evan Stuart and Sam Bowling swept both of the honors after their efforts in the 15-9 win over NCAA Division III Kalamazoo. 

 

 

Stuart, a junior from Waterford, Michigan, won WHAC Offensive Player of the Week following a five-goal performance against the Hornets. He also scored one man-up goal. This is the first player of the week honor Stuart has earned in his Cardinal Career. 

 

 

Bowling, a junior from Canton, Michigan, won WHAC Defensive Player of the Week after picking up the win in the game against Kalamazoo. Bowling recorded 10 saves in the game to earn a 52.6% save percentage. This honor is the third time Bowling has taken home a player of the week honor. 

 

The Cardinals head back to the field this Friday, February 24th, as they take on the third-ranked University of the Cumberlands with a face-off at 5 PM at Detroit Country Day.
