Men's Lacrosse cruises to 14-4 win over Lourdes

(Sylvania, OH) – Concordia men's lacrosse traveled to Lourdes on a sunny Wednesday afternoon for a WHAC contest. The Cardinals moved to 6-0 in conference play with a solid 14-4 victory.

 

Sam Bowling played a complete game in net, making 12 saves. Sam Saje won the opening faceoff and scored just 7 seconds into the match. Evan Stuart tallied as well, but Lourdes fought back to tie the game 2-2. Cooper Regimbal put the Cardinals back on top and CUAA led 3-2 after the 1st.

Ross Preston converted on the powerplay in the 2nd, stealing the ball from the Lourdes goalie and scoring. Andrew Simmons and Cooper Regimbal added markers in the period and CUAA led 6-2 at halftime.

 

Ross Preston notched his second goal to start the 3rd. Cooper Regimbal completed his hat trick and Spencer Guppy tallied on the power play. The Cardinals held a 9-4 lead after the 3rd.

Evan Stuart scored his second goal and Cooper Regimbal notched his 4th marker of the game. Gavin Scally found the back of the net assisted by Ross Preston, who then finished his hat trick just 28 seconds later. Aldo Hans capped scoring off a feed from Andrew Simmons and CUAA secured the 14-4 win.

 

Concordia will return home to host UM-Dearborn this Saturday at 4pm.
