Preston and Papadelis sweep WHAC Player of the Week honors

(Ann Arbor, MI) – The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) announced their player of the week honors Monday afternoon and Ross Preston and Cross Papadelis swept both awards for their efforts in the 22-2 victory over Midland.

 

Preston, a freshman from Brighton, Michigan, won WHAC Offensive Player of the Week after picking up 2 goals and 5 assists for 7 total points in the contest. 

 

Papadelis, a freshman from Lake Orion, Michigan, won WHAC Defensive Player of the Week for his efforts. Papadelis forced 2 turnovers and picked up 4 ground balls, while also registering a goal.

 

This is the first time in their young Cardinal career that Preston and Papdelis have earned WHAC Player of the Week honors. 

 

This is the second time that the Cards have swept the honors so far this season. Preston and Papdelis join Sam Bowling (2x) and Evan Stuart in Cardinals that have earned WHAC player of the week honors this season. 

 

The Cardinals will take the field tomorrow afternoon against Missouri Valley. The starting face-off time is scheduled for 3 PM at Ferry Field.
