Men's Lacrosse downs #8 Aquinas 11-7
 
(Ann Arbor, MI) – Concordia men's lacrosse hosted #8 Aquinas on Thursday afternoon in a WHAC matchup.  The Cardinals stayed undefeated in conference and ground out an 11-7 win. 

 

Sam Bowling played a complete game in net, making 4 saves.  The Cardinals controlled the 1st quarter with a natural hat trick from Spencer GuppyNoah Sorenson and Andrew Simmons drew assists and CUAA led 3-0 after the 1st. 

Ross Preston scored to start the 2nd with Spencer Guppy assisting.  Travis Wright added two markers to continue the run.  Aquinas broke the shutout with 3:22 to play but CUAA still held a 6-1 lead at halftime. 

 

Aquinas continued their run with 3 more goals in the 3rdCross Papadelis ended the run with an unassisted marker and Evan Stuart scored as well while the teams traded goals.  Stuart added another goal to give CUAA a 9-6 lead after the 3rd. 

Hunter McCarty scored a one-timer on the powerplay off a quick feed from Ross Preston to start the 4thEvan Stuart then finished his hat trick with Spencer Guppy picking up the assist.  The Cardinal defense held strong and CUAA claimed the 11-7 win as time expired. 

 

Concordia will head on the road to Madonna this Saturday at 4pm.
