Joseph Loria earns WHAC Defensive Player of the Week honors

(Ann Arbor, MI) – The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) announced their player of the week honors Monday afternoon and Cardinals senior Joseph Loria took home the first WHAC honors of his Cardinal career.

 

Loria, a senior from Fenton, Michigan, helped aid the Cardinal defense against two top WHAC teams in Lawrence Tech and Siena Heights. In total, he caused seven turnovers including six in the matchup against Siena Heights. He also picked up four ground balls in the two games. He added one assist against the Saints as well. 

 

Loria is one of seven players who have taken home WHAC player of the week honors as he joins Hunter McCarty, Sam Saje, Ross Preston, Cross Papadelis, Sam Bowling, and Evan Stuart.

 

The Cardinals will take the field again on Wednesday as they will faceoff against their fifth-straight team that is receiving votes in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Top 10 poll in the Saints from Aquinas with a faceoff at 1 PM.
