Saje earns second WHAC Player of the Week honors

(Ann Arbor, MI) – The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) announced their Player of the Week honors Monday afternoon and Cardinals junior Sam Saje picked up WHAC Defensive Player of the Week honors for the second time this season. 

 

Saje, a junior from Macomb, Michigan, turned in two solid performances against teams receiving votes in the most recent NAIA poll. During the week he totaled 22 ground balls while winning 73.9%. In the pivotal win against #RV Madonna, he went 20-24 on faceoffs and picked up 14 ground balls. 

 

Saje joins Hunter McCarty, Sam Saje, Ross Preston, Cross Papadelis, Sam Bowling, and Evan Stuart who have taken home WHAC honors this season. 

 

The Cardinals head back to the field on Wednesday, April 12, as they travel down to Sylvania, Ohio for a battle against Lourdes University.
