Fleming earns WHAC Player of the Week honors

(Ann Arbor, MI) - The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) announced their weekly Player of the Week awards and Concordia Cardinals baseball player, Drew Fleming, for the second time in his Cardinal career.

Fleming, a senior from Davison, Michigan, picked up 11 hits in 17 at-bats on the week for a .647 average. Five of those 11 hits were extra-base hits as he tallied two doubles and three home runs on the week, including a pair in the first game against Lourdes. He picked up 10 RBIs with four runs scored as well.

Fleming is the second Cardinal to earn WHAC Player of the Week honors this season, as he joins Logan Hylek, who has won the award twice this season.

Fleming and the Cardinals will be back in action for seven games this week as they will start the week off with the resumed game against Siena Heights tomorrow at 3:30 PM, as they pick the game up in the bottom of the third inning.
