NCCAA ALL-AMERICANS: Several Cardinals earn NCCAA Honors; highlighted by Drew Fleming as Player of the Year

(Ann Arbor, MI) - The National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) announced their All-America teams for the 2024 season and four Cardinals were honored as they were named to the teams.

 

The honors were highlighted by Drew Fleming who took home National Player of the Year. He is the second-ever Cardinal to earn the honor after Blaine Milheim in 2019. 

 


FIRST TEAM

DREW FLEMING | SR | DAVISON, MICHIGAN

Fleming appears on the first team after being named to the second team last season. Fleming led the NCCAA in nearly every power-hitting category with 29 home runs, 76 RBIs, and 82 hits. In addition, he was top-5 in the nation in batting average at 0.427. 

 

DAVE ROZMYS | JR | LIVONIA, MICHIGAN

Kenneth (Dave) Rozmys was one of the Cardinals' pitching staff leaders with 50.1 innings pitched this season. Rozmys was top on the pitching staff with an ERA of 1.25 which was also the lowest in the NCCAA this season. He struck out 61 batters with his 6-2 record and five saves. 

 


SECOND TEAM

JOSH BURKE | JR | MACOMB, MICHIGAN

Josh Burke was another key hitter on the team with a slash line of .311/.415/.520 with eight home runs this season. In addition, he brought home 39 runners on his 61 hits and scored 52 runs which was 12th most in the NCCAA. 

 


THIRD TEAM

LOGAN HYLEK | JR | GRAND LEDGE, MICHIGAN

Logan Hylek collected the second-most hits in the NCCAA this season with 78 with a .380 batting average. His 19 doubles were also top-5 in the NCCAA this season as he would also bring in 47 runners.
