Tyler Wressel earns NCCAA Offensive Player of the Week

(Ann Arbor, MI) - The National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) announced their weekly Offensive Player of the Week winners for Baseball Monday afternoon and Concordia's Tyler Wressel was named the Offensive Player of the Week for helping the team to a 7-1 week.

Wressel, a junior from Paw Paw, Michigan, had a .417 batting average, along with a .500 on base percentage, and .792 slugging percentage throughout the week. The Leftfielder was tied for the team lead in RBIs (12) and runs (10), while leading the team in doubles on the 7-1 week. He also swiped four bags and recorded a team-high 6 extra base hits, including his second home run of his Cardinal career.

This is the first weekly honor that Wressel has earned in his Concordia career, and he is the first Cardinal to be honored by the NCCAA this season.

Wressel and the rest of the Cardinal Baseball team will head out west for a four-game series at Aquinas this Saturday and Sunday.
