(Ann Arbor, MI) - The College Sports Communicators (CSC) released their 2024 Academic All-America winners on Tuesday afternoon. Concordia Cardinals' baseball student-athlete Drew Fleming was named to the CSC NAIA Baseball All-America First Team.

DREW FLEMING | SR | DAVISON, MICHIGAN
This is Fleming's fourth First Team honor this season after being honored on the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA), and the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) First Teams this season as well. He was also named Player of the Year for the WHAC and NCCAA as well.
The Cardinal first baseman was top-10 in multiple categories across the NAIA, highlighted by having the highest slugging percentage in the country at .990 and the second most home runs with 29. The Davison native was 5th in extra base hits (47) and 10th in on base percentage (.537) while also finishing in the top-25 in RBI (76) and batting average (.427).
Fleming becomes the first Cardinal in program history to be named a First Team CSC (formerly CoSIDA) All-American, and is joined by former Second Teamers Jeremy Mass (2016) and Blaine Milheim (2019).
The 2024 Academic All-America Baseball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes baseball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.
College Sports Communicators is a 3,200+ member national association for strategic, creative, and digital communicators across intercollegiate athletics in the United States and Canada. The organization was previously known as College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) and was changed to its new name in August of 2022.
Members of the All-America team must have participated in at least 90% of the team's matches or start at least 66% throughout the season while maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.50.
