Drew Fleming takes home WHAC and NCCAA Player of the Week honors

(Ann Arbor, MI) - The National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) and the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) announced their weekly Player of the Week awards and Concordia Cardinals baseball player, Drew Fleming, picked up his second NCCAA Player of the Week award, and the third WHAC Player of the Week honor of his career.

 

Fleming, a senior from Davison, Michigan, hit an astounding .706 on the week going 12-17 with eight extra-base hits. Fleming also led the team in home runs with 6 and RBIs with nine as CUAA went 3-1 on the week. He recorded a slash line of .706/.737/1.882. 

 

Fleming picks up his second WHAC award of the season and is joined by Logan Hylek as the two Cardinals who have earned WHAC Player of the Week status. He also joins Tyler Wressel as an NCCAA Player of the Week honoree.

 

The Cardinals are back on the field Tuesday, April 16 as the Cardinals take a break from WHAC action and play host to Grace Christian University with a doubleheader beginning at 2 PM. The Cardinals will have 12 seniors honored following the game as a part of senior day.
