(Ann Arbor, MI) - The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has announced its first WHAC Player's of the Week award for Women's Basketball and Concordia Cardinal's Abby Long took home Offensive Player of the Week honors. 

Long, a senior from Portage, MI, tallied 30 points in the Cardinal's season opener against Grace (IN) on Saturday. Long was the leading scorer in the game as she shot 46.2% from behind the three-point line and 80% from the free-throw line. In addition, she recorded five rebounds in the game to go along with her five assists. 

This is the first Player of the Week honor that Long has earned in her Cardinal career. 

The Cardinals are back in action this weekend with a pair of games against Indiana Northwest and Olivet Nazarene on Friday and Saturday.
