(Ann Arbor, MI) - The Concordia Cardinals women's basketball team heads into the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) tournament on Wednesday evening as they will travel to play #4 Cornerstone on Wednesday, February 26th at 5:30pm

ABOUT THE GOLDEN EAGLES
The Golden Eagles enter the WHAC Tournament with a 15-3 record and an impressive 14-6 record in Conference play. Cornerstone was riding a seven game win streak before losing their final game to WHAC Champion Indiana Tech in the final game of the regular season.
Three members of the Cornerstone team find themselves averaging over ten points a game this season. They are led by Jaxi Long who is averaging 17.4 points per game, good enough for fourth in the entire conference. Olivia Kubik is second with 13 points per game, and they are rounded out by Mackenzie Goodwin who averages 10.9 points per game.
They are led by Laura Innerebner who sits at 5.0 rebounds per game. Jaylee Long currently leads the Golden Eagles with 3.1 assists per game.
ABOUT THE CARDINALS
Elyse Schlump is in her third season as the Head Coach of the Cardinals and has guided the team to a 14-24 record overall and 12-8 in WHAC play. The Cardinals closed out the regular season with a huge win over Lourdes on senior night, propelling them out of a play-in spot and into the fifth seed. CUAA is making its 10th straight appearance in the WHAC Tournament, dating back to the 2014-2015 season.
The Cardinals are led by senior Abby Long and freshman Lauren Borsenik, who average 14.1 and 13.4 points per game, respectively. Freshman Ryan Moorer is also averaging 9.6 points per game.
Moorer, Borsenik, and Emily McCalla all find themselves averaging more than 5 rebounds per game after the regular season has concluded. Abby Long is top-5 in the WHAC with 4.1 assists per game.

The Cardinals and Golden Eagles only met once this season on January 15th. The Cardinals won 84-69 in a game where Abby Long dropped 26 points and Ryan Moorer added 14 rebounds.
