(Ann Arbor, MI) - The Concordia Cardinals Men's Hockey team will begin their 2024-25 campaign as they take on the Oakland Golden Grizzlies. The Cardinals travel to Oakland on Friday, September 13 for their opening game before their home opener on Saturday. Head Coach Trevor Sattlemeier is in his second season leading the Cardinals.

2023 SEASON REVIEW
The 2023 season was highlighted by three wins over ranked ACHA teams including #22 Lawrence Tech, #22 Michigan-Dearborn, and #18 Indiana Tech. Heading into the postseason, the Cards took on Aquinas in the tournament's opening round and won by a score of 4-1 with Kyle Hebner, Zane Rydel, Sam Sahr, and Tyler Bieniek each sinking a goal.
2024 SCHEDULE OUTLOOK
The Cardinals will travel out east for their first road trip of the season when they travel to Delaware on September 27-28.
October will feature four different series against Toledo (October 4-5), Lawrence Tech (October 11-12), Michigan-Dearborn (October 18-19), and Cleary (October 25-26).
The month of November will have three different series with Rochester Christian (Nov. 1-2), Indiana Tech (Nov. 8-9), and Aquinas (Nov. 22-23). The Cardinals will take on Schoolcraft for a single-game series on November 6.
Lawrence Tech will be the sole series of December on the 6th and 7th.
The new year will see the Cards take on Michigan-Dearborn (Jan. 10-11), Cleary (Jan. 17-18), Rochester Christian (Jan. 24-25), and the first game of a two-game series against Indiana Tech (Jan. 31).
The final month of the season is the last five games with the second game of the Indiana Tech series (Feb. 1), Saginaw Valley (Feb. 7-8), and Aquinas (Feb. 14-15).
CONCORDIA PERSONNEL
Seniors & Grad Students: The Cardinals will be led by six seniors and two graduate students. Jackson Blough, Carson Ediger, Derek Hebner, Brenden Murray, Anthony Seykora, Brayden Tayles, Kyle Hebner, and Joseph Lajcaj will take the lead on the ice this season.
Juniors: 10 Cardinals are in their third year for CUAA they are Garrett Benoit, McCarthy Clark, Nolan Foster, Kolton Horn, Bryce Iott, Jack Kallsen, Ethan Lindle, Ethan Ryan, Gavin Scally, and Nicholas Twombley.
Sophomores: Five Cardinals are back for their second year, including Connor Carroll, Luca Cottone, Marek Drennan, Owen Gouin, and Braden Yurkunas.
Newcomers: Mason Blow, Ross Eaton, Ryan Nickerson, Benjamin Patterson, Cody Reader, and Tyler Sims will all be making their debut with CUAA this season.
Head Coach Trevor Sattlemeier is joined by Tyler Groth, Thomas Evans, Liam Kenney, and Tristan Waechter.
