(Ann Arbor, MI) The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has announced its Players of the Week award for Men's Hockey and Concordia Cardinal's Ryan Nickerson took home Defensive Player of the Week honors for the first time in his Cardinal career. 

Nickerson, a Freshman from Brighton, MI, was one of three Cardinal goalies to take the ice this weekend in the team's series against Saginaw Valley State. Nickerson faced 32 shots, saving 31 of them, and only giving up one goal in 2 periods of play for a 97% save percentage. 

Nickerson joins Kolton Horn as Cardinals to have won WHAC weekly honors for the team this season. 

The Cardinals will conclude their regular season with a series against Aquinas, with the Cardinals on the road February 14th and ending the regular season at home on the 15th at 3:00 PM in Canton, MI.
