(Ann Arbor, MI) - The National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) announced their weekly Offensive Player of the Week winners for baseball and Concordia Cardinals' Jarrett Batanian was named the offensive player of the week for helping the team to a 3-0 week.
Batanian, a senior from Sylvania, Ohio, earned the honors following a 0.700 batting average while going 7-10 from the plate. Batanian recorded a team-high 14 RBIs over the three wins. He also was able to hit four extra-base hits, with three home runs, including a two-home-run game.
This is the first weekly honor that Batanian has earned in his Cardinal career.
Batanian and the rest of the Cardinal baseball team will head down to Indianapolis, Indiana for a 3-game series against the Knights. Saturday, February 25th will feature a doubleheader beginning at 2 PM, while Sunday will be a single game starting at 12 PM.
