(Ann Arbor, MI) - The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) and the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) announced their weekly player of the week honors and two Cardinals earned honors this week.

Drew Fleming and Tyson Kleinfelter earned WHAC honors, while Fleming was also honored by the NCCAA.

Fleming, a junior from Davison, Michigan, had an outstanding week at the plate as he hit .407 at the plate. In the first game of the week, Fleming hit the first cycle (single, double, triple, and home run in one game) in Cardinal program history. He also added an eventual game-winning home run against Aquinas on Tuesday, in a game where he pitched the ninth inning for a save. In the final game of the series, Fleming added 4 RBIs, including his fourth home run of the week.

Kleinfleter, a senior from Perrysburg, Ohio, pitched the Cardinals to two of their seven wins on the week with 23 total strikeouts. Kleinfelter started the week with a 15-strikeout complete game shutout against Aquinas while ending the week against Siena Heights with an eight-strikeout performance over six innings. Kleinfelter also gave up only one run on the week for a 0.69 ERA.

For Kleinfelter this is the second time he has won a WHAC award this season, while this is Fleming's first. Fleming also joins Timothy Pomaville and Jarrett Batanian as NCCAA players of the week.

Fleming and the Cardinals head back to the diamond on Saturday which will begin a four-game series against Lourdes with the first pitch at 1 PM.
