Kleinfelter wins WHAC Pitcher of the Week; Pomaville named NCCAA Pitcher of the Week

(Ann Arbor, MI) – The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) and the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) announced their pitcher of the week awards on Monday afternoon. Baseball's Tyson Kleinfelter was given the WHAC honor, while Timothy Pomaville picked up the NCCAA honor. The awards were Kleinfelter's third WHAC Pitcher of the Week and Pomaville's second NCCAA Pitcher of the week in their careers.

 

 

Kleinfleter, a graduate student, made two starts and went 2-0 in those starts. He pitched 12 total innings and struck out 16 batters over the two games. He only allowed 5 runs (4 earned), 8 hits, and 6 walks over his two games. 

 

 

Pomaville, a senior, made two starts as well and also went 2-0. He pitched 12 total innings and struck out 12 batters over his two contests. He only allowed 2 hits and 2 walks over the 2 starts, and he did not allow a single run in either of his starts.

 

Kleinfelter and Pomaville are joined by Jarrett Batanian in this year's weekly awards, who won NCCAA Player of the Week earlier this season.

 

Concordia's next game will be in Howell, MI against Cleary. The contest will begin Saturday at 1 PM.
